3D Printing Toolbox¶

This plugin collects the usual fixes for hard to print shapes as tools under Print on the rail. It is on by default.

Select the inside face of a sideways hole and pick Teardrop, and the round hole becomes a teardrop with a pointed roof that prints without support. Each tool adds an ordinary step to the History.

Roof Bridge squares the top of a sideways hole, and Counterbore Bridge layers the ceiling of a screw recess. Sacrificial Layer closes a hole with a thin membrane you drill out later. Thread-Forming Ribs lets a screw cut its own thread, and Zip-Tie Channel cuts a loop for a zip tie.
